Solitude en Ville explores the quiet beauty of everyday urban life, moments that pass unnoticed yet carry the weight of memory. Shot on the rain-soaked streets of Rennes, France, the series uses the city's architecture and grey autumn light as a living backdrop — a place to wander, breathe, and simply exist. Inspired by the cinematic language of film, each image is composed to resemble a still from a movie: warm colour grading balanced with cool blues and greens, varied angles, and the 1.85:1 aspect ratio of standard film format. Influenced by the documentary realism of Paul Strand and Roland Barthes' idea of photography as an act of making, experiencing, and witnessing, this series invites the viewer to build their own narrative and recall their own memories.
